This is just my amaturish photo taking skills with my new web camera I bought, with me and the dagger I bought to start my collection. Edited for a better focus and lighting from the origional picture for more detail on the blade.
Here is the history of the blade itself (c) to Kit Rae the blade's designer
The Talisman (tm) was the dark magical blade of Navros, one of the most evil and treacherous sorcerers to ever come out of the vile land of Dagorlund. Navros was a wizard in service to many evil lords in ancient times. He served the Dark One in the Fifth Age and created a new body for his dispossessed spirit to inhabit. Navros aided in the destruction of Deylindor in the Great Realm of Ammon, and used his power in the creation of the Barumen, the evil servants of the Dark One, spawned of mortal men and apes of the north, and born of wolves. Navros poisoned King Aedred, causing his death and making queen Vaelen the new ruler of Lumenia. In the War of the Black Legion Navros cast a spell on the Dark One's sword, the sword of darkness, cursing it. The Dark One used that sword to imprison Vaelen in the Netherworld. After the Dark One was defeated, Navros raised his son Vardor, and made him the Lord of the Shadows. Navros then corrupted King Aethelread's son Borloth, causing him to kill his father and take his kingdom. In the war Against Vardor's Shadow Army, Navros used the Talisman (tm) to strike down Barlodir, elder son of king Aethelred, in his battle to retake his father's throne. The kingdom was regained but Navros escaped to Dagorlund and served Vardor until Vardor's eventual defeat by Aluen in the War of the Shaddows, Where upon Navros hid himself in the wastelands of Nasnandos. Where as Navros left it at his former camp site next to an extinguished fire, and I as a wanderer had found the precious blade and use it to the day, Purified of any evil from which it Might have originated.

This newsletter was "born" back in March 2007, from a conversation between ~Lareth and =FrozenStarRo, who with the help of their friends *Iardacil and =Sylwiaa , wanted to make something to promote known and unknown photomanipulators alike here on DeviantArt. As of September 2009 =ImaginaryRosse joined the project and will be helping us out with the weekly choices. While things have changed over time, the essence of the newsletter is still the same. As of recent, the talented =Behana has joined us in bringing you this weekly newsletter and we are excited to have her on board. This is a special feature, with a selection of 50 manips from the past year that we loved.

We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
